Exercise - Children and Young People

Introduction
Physical activity has a huge potential to enhance our wellbeing; regular exercise can strengthen the heart, improve blood circulation, tone muscles, and enhance flexibility.

Research also shows that physical activity can also boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy, as well as reducing risk of stress, and clinical depression.
People who exercise regularly have a lower risk of developing many long-term (chronic) conditions, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and some cancers.
